It is our goal to graduate our students debt-free. Graduating debt-free allows our students to pursue ministry unencumbered by student loans and debt.

WHY ?

UNIQUE IN BIBLICAL EDUCATION

GRADUATE DEBT-FREE

Student Tuition Assistance

It is our goal to graduate our students debt-free. Graduating debt-free empowers our students to pursue ministry without the burden of student loans and debt. Additionally, Joshua Bible College offers various scholarships and grants to qualified students, including those interested in biblical counseling and neurotheology through our school of ministry programs:

What is a scholarship trait?

Friends of Joshua House believe in and support what JBC’s unique institution represents:

- Hard work,

- Biblical values,

- Freedom from debt, and

- Higher education in a Holy setting.

Their contributions enable the College to provide tuition assistance scholarships.

A scholarship signifies a commitment to learning. A student dedicates hours to reading and studying, recognizing the lasting benefits of a cultivated mind. This commitment to academic achievement, high learning, and the willingness to share knowledge with others is paramount, particularly in soul care courses.

Rabbi’s Scholarship:

This scholarship is awarded to licensed, ordained, or commissioned ministers. To qualify, submit a copy (no originals, please) of the license, ordination, or commission certificate at the time of application. The scholarship can cover up to 75% of tuition costs.

Returning Student Grant:

This grant is awarded to all students who have previously completed a degree program at Joshua Bible College and are pursuing another degree program through JBC. The grant can cover up to 75% of tuition costs and will be applied upon activation of the student’s next degree program.

Internships or Teaching Assistants: Grants may be available to graduate-level students. The goal of the intern program is to cultivate a community of individuals willing and equipped to live out the JHM mission. We envision this through education and community engagement. Valuing the work and support that interns provide, we have designed the intern program to benefit their professional and personal development. Joshua Bible College has partnered with the FRIEDEL CLINIC, which offers merit and needs-based scholarships and grants.

Joshua Bible College has also collaborated with the FRIEDEL FAMILY FOUNDATION, which provides merit and need-based scholarships and grants aimed at funding research, education, and treatment related to brain health and mood dysregulation.

Merit-based: These awards are based on a student's academic abilities and often consider extracurricular activities and community service records. The most common merit-based scholarships, awarded by private organizations or directly by the college, recognize academic achievement or high scores on standardized tests. Most merit-based scholarships are paid directly by the institution rather than issued to the student.

Need-based: Some private need-based awards are referred to as scholarships and require the family's financial information. Scholarships are generally merit-based, while grants tend to focus on financial need.

Scholarship:

Definition: Financial support based on academic achievement or other criteria, including financial need. The donor sets the criteria for recipient selection, intending for the funds to offset the costs of study, training, or research. Scholarship proceeds reduce the cost of education for the upcoming or current academic year, depending on when the student receives the funds.

Grant:

Definition: Financial support based on academic achievement or other criteria, including financial need. A grant recipient is chosen based on specific criteria typically set by the granting institution. Generally, the grant proceeds are used to cover the costs of education for either the upcoming or current academic year, based on performance or criteria met during the previous academic year.
